''"Thinking back to that night that Akira and I first met, there was so much I didn't know. So much I didn't understand about the Phantom Thieves, and how we operate, and our morals and goals.
- Phoenix Wright, Chapter 16L-6: "One Giant Leap."

Phoenix Wright is a renowned defense attorney at the Wright and Co. Law Offices, and a new member of the recently reassembled Phantom Thieves of Hearts. He is from the ''Ace Attorney'' series of video games developed by the company Capcom.

Phoenix is one of the two main protagonists and primary narrators of ''Logic and Trickster,'' alongside Akira Kurusu of the ''Persona 5'' series.

== Biography ==
As a child in elementary school, he was wrongly accused of theft and put on trial by his classroom. The trauma of feeling hopeless and with no one to turn to left a profound impact on him, and shaped his desire to enter law and become a defense attorney.

It was ultimately a young Miles Edgeworth who stood up for Phoenix during this trial to prove him innocent.

This relationship would take a dramatic turn when Miles' father, Gregory Edgeworth, was killed. Miles was adopted by an infamous prosecutor, Manfred von Karma, who would eventually train Miles into becoming a ruthless and morally dubious prosecutor as well. Phoenix intuitively knew his friend was hurting and needed help, and he devoted himself to becoming a lawyer with the hope that he could one day save his friend.

Phoenix went on to study both art and law at Ivy University. In 2014, Phoenix was accused of murdering a fellow student. The attorney who took on his defense was Mia Fey, who would eventually become Phoenix's mentor. Mia proved his innocence in a dramatic trial. Phoenix saw Mia's bravery and tenacity firsthand, and she inspired him to fully pursue law.

He eventually joined Mia's own law firm, the Fey and Co. Law Offices.

In his second trial, Phoenix's life took a drastic turn. His mentor, Mia, was murdered in her office late at night. Phoenix took on the defense of the accused, who was Mia's younger sister, Maya Fey. In defending Maya, Phoenix found himself facing off against Miles Edgeworth himself, who had grown into an unscrupulous prosecutor determined to win at all costs. Phoenix was able to save Maya, and Miles was delivered his first defeat in his career, which would shake Miles to the core.

Once Maya recovered from the shock of losing her sister, she joined Phoenix as a professional assistant and helped him to reform Mia's former law firm into its current form, the Wright and Co. Law Offices. Maya has since become one of Phoenix's best friends, as well as closest allies and confidants.

With Maya now a major element of Phoenix's life, he became aware that Maya had been training to become a spirit medium, which is typical of women of the Fey clan. Phoenix's relationship with the Fey clan over the years would have major implications for both himself and Maya.

After facing his former friend Miles again in another intense legal battle, Miles himself was accused of murder on the night of December 24, 2016. The prosecutor of this trial was none other than Miles' own mentor, von Karma, who had gone four decades completely undefeated and had earned a legendary status as a prosecutor.

In a three-day trial, many twists and turns happened which culminated in revisiting the murder of Gregory Edgeworth fifteen years prior. Miles admitted to killing his own father via a tragic accident, and the trauma had been eating him alive this entire time. Phoenix defended his friend Miles from multiple sides and proved his innocence in the past as well as the present, and proved that von Karma was responsible for both incidents of murder.

Phoenix spent the next three years gaining even more notoriety and credentials throughout various trials and tribulations, making quite a name for himself while befriending various individuals and saving countless clients.

At some point after that, Phoenix and Maya decided that they wanted to learn more about the history of the Fey clan. Knowing very little about the Fey clan's history, Maya was only aware that the clan had originated in the country of Khura'in, migrated to Japan at some point in the past, and had then migrated to California at some point, where Kurain Village was established.

Maya's goal became to retrace the steps of the Fey clan to research their history, and a vacation to Japan became a topic of interest for the Wright and Co. Law Offices.

It is in early April of 2019 that Phoenix and Maya reached Japan, and the story of Logic and Trickster begins.

== Story Role ==
What has the character done in the story? Where were they first seen in the story? Where were they last seen in the story? Don't be too fine with the details, but don't skimp out either. Did this character develop at all between their last appearance in their source game and the story? Did they form any new relationships with other characters?

The story of Logic and Trickster sees Phoenix, as well as his friends and associates from his native series, encountering the Phantom Thieves from the Persona franchise, and partnering with them to investigate a global conspiracy which is wrapping the world into a dark mystery.

=== A Crash Course into the Japanese Courts (Prologue, Act 0) ===

==== Chapter 0-2a: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
The catalytic event which thrust Phoenix and Maya into the world of Persona 5 took place on April 9th, 2009, after the two of them reached Japan. The two were riding in the Tokyo subways after first reaching Shibuya. Almost immediately after disembarking, the overheard the violent events of a murder.

After learning the identity of the victim, the politician Vi Aipi, it was revealed to Phoenix that Yuuki Mishima was being considered the suspect in the killing. Having seen Mishima trying to help the victim, Phoenix and Maya both realized that could not possibly be the case. The pair learned that Yuuki had been hospitalized, and they pursued this lead to the nearby General Hospital.

There, Phoenix met Sae Niijima. He was surprised to learn that Sae already knew Phoenix's identity based off of his reputation alone. Upon being asked about the situation, Sae explained Yuuki has been in a coma since the shooting, and Sae herself is in no position to offer to be his legal defense at the trial the next day. Seeing this as a stroke of good fortune, Sae pleaded with Phoenix to take her place and defend Yuuki in court. Phoenix agreed, and spent the evening awaiting the inevitable trial first thing in the morning.

==== Chapter 0-2b: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
With minimal preparation and no chance to formally investigate anything, Phoenix and Maya steeled themselves for a difficult proceeding at the Tokyo District Courthouse on April 10th. Sae briefly visited them in Defendant Lobby No. 5, where the group discussed the upcoming trial. Sae provided a list of witness testimonies which had been recorded on the night of the shooting, which would be the only evidence Phoenix had going into the courtroom essentially blind.

It is during this trial that Phoenix and Maya were both introduced to a Tokyo detective named Ritsu Chitsujo, who provided the first testimony. In a somewhat sleep-deprived state, Ritsu testified sloppily, allowing Phoenix to navigate the charges and claims with ease. Ritsu presented two bullets as evidence, and what followed was intense debate over the specifics of the shooting. Who was shot, where they were shot, and how many bullets would prove to be the key details in uncovering the truth.

It was determined that there were only two gunshots during the incident, but there were three guns involved in the crime: Vi's gun, Yuuki's own gun, and the gun of a bodyguard in the area. A subject of discrepancy became Kaz Mizusawa, the bodyguard of Vi Aipi, and whether or not he fired either of the shots that night.

Kaz was called in to testify, and Phoenix was able to dissect a sequence of events with the help of Maya and the list of witness testimonies Sae provided. One of the anonymous testimonies claimed to have seen men running from Station Square into the subway tunnels. It became possible that Kaz himself could be a suspect, as evidence was beginning to paint a situation where Vi Aipi may have been running from his own bodyguard.

==== Chapter 0-2c: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
''"The one who fired both bullets and murdered Vi Aipi was YOU!"''

- Phoenix Wright

Toranosuke Yoshida, a local Tokyo resident himself, was present in Station Square, and he was the anonymous witness who claimed to have witnessed Kaz and Vi running underground towards the subway. Toranosuke also crucially provided an item that one of the two men had dropped, which was a check which had not been fully written by the time it was dropped. This proved useful in determining that the victim and bodyguard were quarreling over a large transaction.

By then, Ritsu alerted the court that the guns had arrived and were ready to be reviewed. Kaz's weapon was affected by condensation from the steam in the room, which left it unclear whether it was fired at all. But Vi's gun was analyzed enough to determine that it was never fired, dealing a crucial blow to Phoenix's defense.

With hope appearing lost, Phoenix heard the voice of his deceased mentor, Mia Fey. Maya had channeled the spirit of her sister at this pivotal moment. With Mia's help, Phoenix uncovered the truth that Kaz Mizusawa fired both shots.

Kaz became hostile and charged at him, stealing Yuuki's gun and taking Phoenix hostage. Despite the risks, Phoenix held his ground firmly and fought back against Kaz. The moment that Kaz attempted to shoot Phoenix in the head was the very proof that Phoenix needed to show that Yuuki's gun could not have killed anyone. Yuuki owned a model gun, not a real weapon.

With Kaz defeated and out of options, Kaz broke down from the pressure and was ultimately captured by guards. This absolved Yuuki of the crime, and a Not Guilty verdict was delivered.

Yuuki himself made an unexpected appearance in the lobby after the trial, and it was then that a large crowd of young adults poured into the lobby in cheery celebration of Yuuki's innocence. Though Phoenix did not realize it at the time, this was his first true meeting of who he would later come to know as the Phantom Thieves. After all was said and done, Phoenix and Maya decided to resume their originally planned adventures.

==== Chapter 1-3: "Following the Meta" ====

== Personality ==
What defines the character's personality? How do they behave? Do they have any quirks? Irks? Pet peeves?

''"But, for all of the unanswered questions, there's at least one important question I think I've decided on an answer for. And that's whether or not I'm doing the right thing... And that answer is, heck yes."''

-Phoenix Wright, Chapter 4b: "Logic and Trickster."

Phoenix went to college and studied as an art student, which gave him a very sharp sense for aesthetics and artistic analysis. He has a sense of "art snobbery" which he usually keeps to himself unless it becomes relevant to a discussion.

== Appearance ==
You should put what the character looks like here. What do they look like when on Earth? What do they look like when they're in the Metaverse, if their appearance changes there?
What was the inspiration behind their outfit? What design motifs link back to their personality/abilities/Persona's mythology, if that is applicable?
== Abilities ==
You should put the character's abilities here. What are their persona's abilities? What elemental affinity do they have? These abilities can be both Metaverse-specific, and also present in the real world.

== Relationships ==
Does this character have any interesting relationships with other characters? It's OK to explain any relationships that they formed in their source game, but this section is more for detailing relationships that were created and explored within the story itself.

==== Chapter 0-2a: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
The catalytic event which thrust Phoenix and Maya into the world of Persona 5 took place on April 9th, 2009, after the two of them reached Japan. The two were riding in the Tokyo subways after first reaching Shibuya, presumably to reach their hotel room for the night, and disembarked from their train just after the clocks hit seven pm. Almost immediately, the two overheard gunshots as steam began leaking and obscuring vision in the immediate area. The subway was in the process of becoming the scene of the murder of Vi Aipi, a Japanese politician.

By the time they arrived to the crime scene, Vi Aipi was already dead. Yuuki Mishima, a bystander, was crouched over the politician's body and crying out for help from a doctor. It became clear that Yuuki had been shot as well, and he passed out from bloodloss shortly after. Wanting to find out more about what had transpired, Phoenix waited for local police to get the scene under control, and began speaking with law enforcement.

After learning the identity of the victim, it was revealed to Phoenix that Yuuki was being considered the suspect in the killing. Having seen Mishima trying to help the victim, Phoenix and Maya both realized that could not possibly be the case. Intending to offer their services to Yuuki, the pair learned that Yuuki had been hospitalized, and they pursued this lead to the nearby General Hospital.

There, Phoenix met Sae Niijima. Sae was an acquaintance of Yuuki, and was in the midst of a tense argument with a police officer about the situation. It is through this conversation that Phoenix learned that Japan had very recently adopted the "American" legal system for their court proceedings: trials were now bench trials absent of any juries, where the Judges are the sole presiding authority and are able to rapidly rule verdicts in a matter of hours. Though this was an uncomfortable change to how Japanese courts had been enforced up to that point, to Phoenix this seemed natural that a trial would be set to happen the day after the crime.

After approaching Sae, they are surprised to learn that Sae already knows Phoenix's identity based off of his reputation alone. Upon being asked about the situation, Sae explains Yuuki has been in a coma since the shooting, and Sae herself is in no position to offer to be his legal defense at the trial the next day. However, since Sae had represented Yuuki before, she could legally write an affidavit to transfer representation over to Phoenix. Seeing this as a stroke of good fortune, Sae pleaded with Phoenix to take her place and defend Yuuki in court. Phoenix agreed, and spent the evening awaiting the inevitable trial first thing in the morning.
One of the anonymous testimonies claimed to have seen men running from Station Square into the subway tunnels. It became possible that Kaz himself could be a suspect, as evidence was beginning to paint a situation where Vi Aipi may have been running from his own bodyguard.

== Biography ==

== Story Role ==

==== Chapter 0-2a: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

==== Chapter 0-2b: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

In Courtroom No. 5, Phoenix met the opposing prosecutor, Fantomu Payne. Payne claimed to be a descendant of the Auchi family, and a relative of Winston Payne, who Phoenix himself had faced in court and defended multiple times in the past. Humorously, Phoenix could not recall Winston clearly, despite Fantomu's mannerisms feeling familiar.

Much more familiar was the presiding judge of the trial, who was revealed to be none other than the Judge himself who had overseen virtually all of Phoenix's trials for the past three years. Despite the Judge having jurisdiction in California, he was able to cite incredibly specific, obscure laws which gave him legal authority to oversee trials in the city of Tokyo, at least on a Wednesday.

It was determined that there were only two gunshots during the incident, but there were three guns involved in the crime: Vi's gun, Yuuki's own gun, or the gun of a bodyguard in the area.

Phoenix, however, lacked any kind of explanation as to why this could have been the cause, as the scenario was implausible.

It was at this point that a member of the audience, Toranosuke Yoshida, offered to testify last minute, which the legal parties agreed to allowing.

==== Chapter 0-2c: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
''"The one who fired both bullets and murdered Vi Aipi was YOU!"''

- Phoenix Wright

Toranosuke, a local Tokyo resident himself, was present in Station Square, and he was the anonymous witness who claimed to have witnessed Kaz and Vi running underground towards the subway. Toranosuke also crucially provided an item that one of the two men had dropped, which was a check which had not been fully written by the time it was dropped. This proved useful in determining that the victim and bodyguard were quarreling over a large transaction.

At this point, Phoenix was contacted via text message by a mysterious third party, claiming to by the name "Alibaba." Alibaba urged Phoenix to try and cite a two year old trial, ''Japan v. Masayoshi Shido''. They claimed that it was a legal precedent in proving that personalities could be changed, and strongly warned Phoenix that he need to get the trial postponed.

Being overwhelmed by this new information and not fully trusting of the dubious source, Phoenix opted to continue the trial, believing that Yuuki's innocence could still be proven.

Phoenix reinforced his argument by backing it with evidence from the bullets and guns, and at last asked to personally inspect Yuuki's own gun, knowing that it could prove his version of events to be correct. As Phoenix examined the weapon, he was warned by Alibaba one last time to act with caution, as Kaz was likely to become violent given his change in personality. Phoenix, too close to the truth to give up now, announced that he could prove conclusively that Yuuki's gun was not fired either, and that Kaz fired both shots.

With Kaz defeated and out of options, Kaz broke down from the pressure and was ultimately captured by guards. This absolved Yuuki of the crime, and a Not Guilty verdict was delivered.

Back in the Defendant Lobby, Maya broke down into tears as a result of Phoenix being almost killed. Yuuki himself made a surprise appearance, having left the hospital with his arm in a sling. He personally thanked Phoenix for defending him.

It was then that a large crowd of young adults poured into the lobby in cheery celebration of Yuuki's innocence. Though Phoenix did not realize it at the time, this was his first true meeting of who he would later come to know as the Phantom Thieves.

== Story Role ==

==== Chapter 0-2a: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

==== Chapter 0-2b: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

It was determined that there were only two gunshots during the incident, but there were three guns involved in the crime: Vi's gun, Yuuki's own gun, or the gun of a bodyguard in the area.

Phoenix, however, lacked any kind of explanation as to why this could have been the cause, as the scenario was implausible.

It was at this point that a member of the audience, Toranosuke Yoshida, offered to testify last minute, which the legal parties agreed to allowing.

==== Chapter 0-2c: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

After all was said and done, Phoenix and Maya decided to resume their originally planned adventures.
== Personality ==

== Biography ==
Phoenix has spent most of his life with a strong sense of justice which was instilled in him at a very young age.

Another student, Larry Butz, also vouched for Phoenix. This began a lifelong and complex friendship between the three of them.

Mia proved his innocence in a dramatic trial in which Mia finally caught a killer who had evaded her once before.

Phoenix saw Mia's bravery and tenacity firsthand, and she inspired him to fully pursue law. He eventually joined Mia's own law firm, the Fey and Co. Law Offices.

After winning his first trial to defend his own friend, Larry Butz, Phoenix went on to succeed in a long and storied career as a defense attorney. This was the first milestone solidifying the year 2016 as one of the most crucial points in Phoenix's life.

Phoenix was able to save Maya, and Miles was delivered his first defeat in his career, which would shakes Miles to the core.

Once Maya recovered from the initial shock of losing her sister, she joined Phoenix as a professional assistant and helped him to reform Mia's former law firm into its current form, the Wright and Co.

Phoenix defeated von Karma for the first time in forty years, and gained fame himself as a reputable and skilled defense attorney in the legal world. More importantly to him on a personal level, however, was the fact that Phoenix had saved his friend Miles from following the dark path that von Karma had laid out for Miles. Miles would later go on to reforming his ideals and methods as a prosecutor, and the two of them rekindled their friendship and respect to form a lifelong bond of trust.

Eventually, Phoenix met and befriend Maya's cousin, Pearl Fey, who would be involved in several major incidents related to the Fey clan over the years.

Phoenix spent the next three years gaining even more notoriety and credentials throughout various trials and tribulations, making quite a name for himself while befriending various individuals and saving countless clients. He eventually found himself with new rivals in the forms of Franziska von Karma, as well as a mysterious prosecutor named Godot, who was tied to Mia's past in major ways.

In February of 2019, Phoenix had put to rest a complicated chain of mysteries related to Mia's career and past relationships. Godot was revealed to be a past associate of Mia's, whose open grudge against Phoenix stemmed from his own interpretation that Phoenix had let Mia die and didn't protect her. However, in saving Maya once again from murder charges, Godot himself admit that Phoenix had finally come to his own as a lawyer, and at this point he fully inherited Mia's will and embodied her ideals.

==== Chapter 0-2b: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

It was determined that there were only two gunshots during the incident, but there were three guns involved in the crime: Vi's gun, Yuuki's own gun, or the gun of a bodyguard in the area.

Phoenix, however, lacked any kind of explanation as to why this could have been the cause, as the scenario was implausible.

It was at this point that a member of the audience, Toranosuke Yoshida, offered to testify last minute, which the legal parties agreed to.

==== Chapter 0-2c: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

Though this check provided a potential explanation as to a disagreement between Vi and Kaz, the prosecution still clung to their version of events as a more likely scenario.

At this point, Phoenix was contacted via text message by a mysterious third party, claiming to by the name "Alibaba." Alibaba appeared knowledgeable about the situation enough to claim they had researched Kaz's relationship to the victim, and they asserted how unlikely it would be for the two to quarrel, as they were friends. Alibaba then claimed that there may be some kind of supernatural forces at work, which Phoenix was willing to believe to an extent given his own experiences with supernatural happenings.

Alibaba urged Phoenix to try and cite a two year old trial, ''Japan v. Masayoshi Shido''. They claimed that it was a legal precedent in proving that personalities could be changed, and strongly warned Phoenix that he need to get the trial postponed so that Alibaba and their associates could take the matter into their own hands.

Being overwhelmed by this new information and not fully trusting of the dubious source, Phoenix opted to continue the trial, believing that Yuuki's innocence could be proven by analyzing the guns involved with the incident. If they could determine which firearms discharged, then the case could be closed clearly.

Phoenix would need to await for the guns to arrive at the trial, as they were being analyzed by police at the time. Phoenix was able to get Kaz to testify once more, this time shedding light on his own actions and behavior that night.

Using the unfinished check that Toranosuke picked up, Phoenix was able to deduce that a business transaction had been interrupted between Kaz and Vi. Detective Ritsu took a look at the check, and determined that it was going to be written out for fifteen million yen. Phoenix argued that such an amount of money could easily lead to violence or murder.

Using this leverage and new understanding that Vi was indeed running away from Kaz, Phoenix posited that Vi could have fired the first shot in self defense, which had pierced a gas pipe in the wall which led to the room being obscured by steam. With vision impaired, that would have freed Kaz up to fire the second shot and kill Vi without anyone noticing.

Fantomu maintained that it was more likely that Yuuki fired the first shot and killed Vi, and that Kaz fired the second shot which injured Yuuki. He claimed that his version of events was much less farfetched, and explained all of the injuries which happened.

By then, Ritsu alerted the court that the guns had arrived and were ready to be reviewed. The police did not have a full opportunity to analyze all of the weapons, but they at least analyzed Kaz Mizusawa's gun and Vi Aipi's gun. Kaz's weapon was affected by condensation from the steam in the room, which left it unclear whether it was fired at all. But Vi's gun was analyzed enough to determine that it was never fired, dealing a crucial blow to Phoenix's argument.

With hope appearing lost, Phoenix heard the voice of his deceased mentor, Mia Fey. Maya had channeled the spirit of her sister at this pivotal moment, hoping that Mia could help Phoenix make sense of a seemingly impossible puzzle. Mia gave Phoenix a boost of hope by reinvigorating his trust in his client, and giving him hints to make sense of how two gunshots could have resulted in all of the specific facts of the case.

With Mia's help, Phoenix uncovered the truth that Kaz Mizusawa fired both shots: the first shot was deliberately fired into the steam pipe to fill the room with steam, and the second shot pierced straight through Yuuki Mishima's shoulder and struck a killing blow to Vi Aipi on the other side.

Phoenix reinforced his argument by backing it with evidence from the bullets and guns, he at last asked to personally inspect Yuuki's own gun, knowing that it could prove his version of events to be correct.

Kaz became hostile and charged at him, grabbing him and holding him hostage with Yuuki's gun against his head. Despite the Judge, Ritsu, and everyone involved urging Phoenix to give in to Kaz's demands for his own personal safety, Phoenix held his ground firmly and fought back against Kaz. The very moment that Kaz attempted to shoot Phoenix in the head was the very proof that Phoenix needed to show that Yuuki's gun could not have killed anyone: Kaz was clearly showing the entire court that Yuuki owned a model gun, which couldn't kill anyone even with him attempted to use it to do so.

''"The one who fired both bullets and murdered Vi Aipi was YOU!"''

- Phoenix Wright

With Kaz defeated and out of options, Kaz broke down from the pressure and attempted to roll around the room like a secret agent, only for the bailiff of the court to pin him down with a spotlight, leading to a swarm of guards tackling Kaz to the ground and catching him for good.

Humorously, Phoenix played witness to Fantomu Payne secretly attempting to escape the courtroom by hiding underneath a cardboard box and crouch-walking out of the room.

As the Judge ruled Yuuki Mishima to be not guilty, Phoenix wished that Yuuki could be present himself to celebrate, and expressed remorse that Yuuki was in the hospital when all he was trying to do was heroically help Vi Aipi. All he could do was wish for a speedy recovery.

Back in the Defendant Lobby, Phoenix dealt with the aftermath of such a daring and dangerous climax to the trial, where Maya broke down into tears as a result of Phoenix being almost killed, and made him promise to never worry her like that again.

They were surprised by not only Ritsu and Sae appearing, but Yuuki himself who had now left the hospital with his arm in a sling and had just arrived. He personally thanked Phoenix for everything the man had done to defend him while he was in the hospital, and claimed that he definitely owned Phoenix for such an act of kindness.

It was then that a large crowd of young adults poured into the lobby in cheery celebration of Yuuki's innocence. Though Phoenix did not realize it at the time, this was his first true meeting of who he would later come to know as the Phantom Thieves.

Alibaba texted Phoenix a few more times, praising his character and claiming that they and their associates would keep an eye on him. Lastly, Alibaba warned Phoenix to stay safe and avoid any more troubling situations.

''"There are plenty of questions left unanswered, but for now, I'll let the matters rest. Maya and I have a vacation to get back to!"''

Phoenix went to college and studied as an art student, which gave him a very sharp sense for aesthetics and artistic analysis. He has a sense of "art snobbery" which he usually keeps to himself unless it becomes relevant to a discussion.

== Biography ==
Phoenix has spent most of his life with a strong sense of justice which was instilled in him at a very young age.

Another student, Larry Butz, also vouched for Phoenix. This began a lifelong and complex friendship between the three of them.

== Story Role ==

=== Prologue, Act 0 ===

==== Chapter 0-2a: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====
The victim was gunned down during this incident unbeknownst to Phoenix or Maya, but the two of them resolved to follow the sounds of the gunshots thinking that someone could be in danger and need help.

==== Chapter 0-2b: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

It was determined that there were only two gunshots during the incident, but there were three guns involved in the crime: Vi's gun, Yuuki's own gun, or the gun of a bodyguard in the area.

Phoenix, however, lacked any kind of explanation as to why this could have been the cause, as the scenario was implausible.

It was at this point that a member of the audience, Toranosuke Yoshida, offered to testify last minute, which the legal parties agreed to.

==== Chapter 0-2c: "Tokyo Turnabout" ====

'' "There are plenty of questions left unanswered, but for now, I'll let the matters rest. Maya and I have a vacation to get back to!"''

== Biography ==
Phoenix has spent most of his life with a strong sense of justice which was instilled in him at a very young age.

Another student, Larry Butz, also vouched for Phoenix. This began a lifelong and complex friendship between the three of them.

After facing his former friend Miles again in another intense legal battle, Miles himself was accused of murder on the night of December 25.

At some point after that, Phoenix and Maya decided that they wanted to learn more about the history of the Fey clan. To that end, Maya suggested that the two of them travel abroad to the country of Japan, which the Fey clan had inhabited many generations ago before eventually migrating to their current home in America.
It is in early April of 2019 that Phoenix and Maya finally reached Japan, and the story of Logic and Trickster truly begins.
After facing his former friend Miles again in another intense legal battle, Miles himself was accused of murder on the night of December 25.

== Story Role ==

== Personality ==
What defines the character's personality? How do they behave? Do they have any quirks? Irks? Pet peeves?

''"But, for all of the unanswered questions, there's at least one important question I think I've decided on an answer for. And that's whether or not I'm doing the right thing... And that answer is, heck yes."''
Phoenix went to college and studied as an art student, which gave him a very sharp sense for aesthetics and artistic analysis. He has a sense of "art snobbery" which he usually keeps to himself unless it becomes relevant to a discussion.
== Biography ==
Phoenix has spent most of his life with a strong sense of justice which was instilled in him at a very young age.

Another student, Larry Butz, also vouched for Phoenix. This began a lifelong and complex friendship between the three of them.
